Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and contolling overall sewing production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Monitor production performance of multiple sewing lines and ensure achievement of planned targets, efficiency, productivity, and shipment requirements.
Ensure proper line balancing and optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and production resources.
Monitor SMV, productivity, efficiency, output, DHU/rejection, rework, and other key production performance indicators.
Coordinate closely with IE, Planning, Quality, Cutting, Finishing, Maintenance, and HR & Admin departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Identify production bottlenecks, downtime, capacity constraints, and operational issues and take timely corrective actions.
Ensure proper follow-up of production plans, line loading, style changes, and order priorities.
Monitor absenteeism, manpower allocation, discipline, and performance of sewing operators, helpers, line chiefs, and supervisors.
Guide and support Sewing Supervisors and Line Chiefs to improve production efficiency, quality, and worker performance.
Ensure effective implementation of buyer requirements, quality standards, production procedures, SOPs, and company policies.
Ensure proper implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives within the sewing section.
Work closely with the Quality team to minimize defects, rejection, rework, alteration, and customer complaints.
Monitor machine utilization and coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution of machine breakdowns and technical issues.
Analyze daily production reports and take necessary actions to improve line performance and achieve production targets.
Assist in capacity planning, manpower planning, and production forecasting as required.
Ensure effective communication of production priorities and targets to all relevant team members.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports to the Production Manager.
Motivate, coach, and develop the sewing production team to achieve higher productivity and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and maintain a safe and disciplined production environment.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

Requirements

Age 25 to 45 years

Requirements:

Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in sewing production in the garments industry, preferably in a woven factory.
Minimum 4–5 years of experience in an Assistant Production Manager / Senior Production Manager / equivalent supervisory role will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of woven garment construction, sewing operations, machines, production methods, and line management.
Good understanding of SMV, line balancing, productivity, efficiency, capacity planning, and manpower utilization.
Sound knowledge of production quality requirements, defect analysis, rework reduction, and corrective action.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
Ability to manage multiple sewing lines and a large workforce effectively.
Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

Experience working with reputed international buyers will be an added advantage.
Experience in handling multiple sewing lines and high-volume woven production will be preferred.
Must be proactive, target-oriented, result-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
Strong ability to coordinate with IE, Planning, Quality, Cutting, Maintenance, HR, and other cross-functional teams.
Good knowledge of production reporting and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Educational Requirement

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Diploma in Textile Engineering

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Experience

7 to 10 years
