  • Assist the Quality Manager/QMS Manager in planning, implementing, and controlling quality activities in the finishing section.
  • Ensure finished garments meet approved quality standards, buyer requirements, specifications, workmanship standards, and AQL requirements.
  • Monitor all finishing quality activities including thread trimming, ironing/pressing, measurement, appearance, folding, tagging, packing, and final presentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections at different stages of finishing and identify defects, workmanship issues, measurement deviations, stains, damages, and packing-related problems.
  • Ensure proper implementation of buyer-approved samples, specifications, measurement charts, workmanship standards, and quality procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze finishing defects, rejection, alteration, rework, and quality performance trends.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize recurring quality problems.
  • Coordinate with Sewing, Production, Cutting, IE, Technical, Planning, and other relevant departments to resolve quality issues at source.
  • Monitor final inspection readiness and ensure corrective actions are completed before internal and external/buyer inspections.
  • Ensure proper implementation of AQL inspection procedures and company quality standards.
  • Monitor measurement accuracy and ensure proper calibration/verification of measuring equipment used in the finishing and quality sections.
  • Ensure proper handling of garments during finishing, folding, packing, and storage to prevent contamination, damage, stains, and other quality risks.
  • Monitor quality performance of finishing inspectors, checkers, and supervisors and provide necessary coaching and guidance.
  • Conduct regular quality meetings with the finishing team and communicate quality issues, buyer comments, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly finishing quality reports and submit performance analysis to management.
  • Monitor quality KPIs such as DHU, defect rate, rejection rate, rework rate, alteration rate, first-pass yield, and final inspection results.
  • Ensure effective implementation of SOPs, Quality Manual, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives in the finishing section.
  • Support buyer inspections, third-party inspections, internal audits, and quality-related compliance requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspection reports, defect records, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
  • Train and develop quality personnel on workmanship standards, defect identification, measurement procedures, buyer requirements, and quality awareness.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

Requirements

  • Age 25 to 45 years
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in the garments industry.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory/Assistant Manager-level position, preferably in finishing quality.
  • Strong experience in woven garments finishing quality is highly preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of woven garment construction, finishing processes, workmanship standards, measurement, pressing, folding, tagging, and packing.
  • Strong knowledge of AQL, final inspection procedures, defect classification, quality standards, and buyer requirements.
  • Good understanding of garment measurement, specification sheets, approved samples, workmanship standards, and technical requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools including 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, CAPA, RCA, Pareto Analysis, and PDCA.
  • Ability to analyze quality data and identify recurring defects and their root causes.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and preparation of quality reports.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience working with reputed international buyers will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in handling multiple production lines and high-volume woven garment orders will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of buyer-specific quality manuals, inspection procedures, and compliance requirements will be an advantage.
  • Must be proactive, result-oriented, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with Production, Sewing, IE, Technical, Planning, Cutting, Finishing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commitment to quality improvement and customer satisfaction.

Educational Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design, or a relevant discipline.
