Engineer – Solar EPC

This cross-functional role bridges precision engineering, robust site execution and strategic commercial support, ensuring our solar and energy-storage projects meet high standards of performance, compliance and profitability.Location: Dhaka HQ with required field deployment across Bangladesh
Reporting Line: Head of Department (HoD)1. Design Engineering & Technical Assessment• Execute comprehensive structural and electrical site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and constraints.
• Develop conceptual and detailed engineering designs for rooftop, ground-mounted, floating and hybrid Solar PV systems alongside Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
• Conduct advanced shading analysis and energy-yield simulations using HelioScope, PVsyst, SketchUp and AutoCAD.
• Engineer Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable sizing, voltage-drop mitigation and facility layouts.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for project costing and structural mounting requirements.
• Integrate 11kV/33kV substations, control panels and PLC infrastructure into overall system designs.2. Project Execution & Commissioning• Drive the transition from engineering design to site execution, overseeing installation, system testing and commissioning.
• Direct coordination with EPC execution teams, civil/electrical contractors and procurement units to maintain technical specifications and project milestones.
• Lead troubleshooting and onsite technical resolution throughout installation.
• Validate as-built drawings and execute project handover protocols.3. Commercial Engineering & Business Development• Partner with the commercial division to develop Commercial & Industrial (C&I) opportunities.
• Develop and present techno-commercial proposals, ROI analyses and CapEx/OpEx financial models.
• Serve as the technical liaison during client presentations, stakeholder meetings and vendor negotiations.
• Clearly communicate complex engineering concepts and build client confidence in Active Renewable Energy’s solutions.4. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance• Ensure alignment with SREDA, BPDB and IDCOL net-metering requirements and applicable IEC, IEEE and NEC standards.
• Review vendor submissions, equipment datasheets, inverters, modules, switchgear and mechanical profiles for quality compliance.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Incorporate emerging Solar and BESS technologies into internal SOPs and design templates.

• Age At least 23 years

• Minimum 2 years of proven hands-on experience in Solar PV system design, EPC project execution and 11kV/33kV substation operations.• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, HelioScope, PVsyst and SketchUp.• Comprehensive knowledge of Solar PV components, grid interconnection, IPP frameworks and BESS/ESS.• Expertise in AC/DC cable sizing, breaker selection and structural load analysis.• Strong techno-commercial negotiation and client-facing presentation skills.• Strong analytical ability and cross-departmental communication skills.• Ability to deliver accurately under demanding project timelines.• Willingness for extensive field deployment across Bangladesh for surveys, project oversight and commissioning.

• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
• Diploma in Engineering
