Job contextKDS Logistics Ltd., the logistics wing of KDS Group, situated in Chittagong; has been leading the ICD/OFF DOCK industry since a long time with the best-in-class services to its clients. We are looking for young, energetic, dynamic, self-motivated and proactive person to perform the role of a Executive (Logistics & Equipment)- for Procurement Department. The incumbent will have to play the role in the dynamic ICD/OFF Dock Industry. Job Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for logistics-related equipment, spare parts, and operational materials
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for vehicles, handling equipment, machinery, containers, and related items
- Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop comparative statements
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery as per operational requirements
- Coordinate with operations, technical, and finance teams for specification and procurement planning
- Maintain procurement documentation and vendor records
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality, cost, and compliance standards
- Support cost control, budgeting, and audit requirements
Requirements
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant procurement experience
- Prior experience in a logistics, transportation, or supply chain company will be preferred
- Hands-on experience in equipment purchasing is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of procurement processes and documentation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple procurement activities
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant discipline
Experience
- 5 to 7 years
